Chris Butta

Chris Butta is a Senior Vice President and Director of Petroleum Engineering with BOK Financial’s Energy Banking team, bringing more than 40 years of petroleum engineering and energy finance experience. Based in Houston, he leads petroleum engineering support for the bank’s energy platform, providing expertise across oil and gas exploration, reserves, midstream, credit risk management, due diligence and portfolio management.

Prior to joining BOK Financial in 2019, Chris held senior engineering leadership roles with Lime Rock Resources and Miller and Lents Ltd., where his responsibilities included reserves analysis, economic modeling, project management, strategic planning and acquisition and divestiture due diligence. Earlier in his career, he served as a reservoir engineer with ARCO Oil and Gas Company.

Chris earned his petroleum engineering degree from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
